UK law on psilocybin mushrooms
Psilocin and psilocybin are Class A drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Section 21 of the Drugs Act 2005 also made any “fungus (of any kind) which contains psilocin or an ester of psilocin” a controlled drug. Production, including growing, carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and an unlimited fine; possession carries up to 7 years. Sources: Drugs Act 2005, section 21 and GOV.UK drug penalties.
We do not sell goods for, or give advice on, growing mushrooms that contain psilocybin. Our full explainer is here: are mushroom spore syringes legal in the UK?
This notice is general information, not legal advice. If you are unsure whether something is lawful, ask a solicitor before you buy.
